The Thesis
▼
AI is displacing white-collar workers at scale. Most of them have skills that directly
transfer to high-demand blue-collar trades — but no one is showing them which trades,
what transfers, and how to bridge the gap fast. We build SkillForge to do exactly that:
map white-collar skills to blue-collar trades, surface the shortest retraining path, and
equip transitioned workers with AI tools so they perform better than a traditional apprentice
from day one.
We then acquire the vocational schools and training firms that deliver those programs — buying from retiring boomer owners who price on today's earnings — not on the government funding wave already in motion. 91% have no succession plan; $2T in Canadian SME assets are changing hands this decade. We modernize operations with SkillForge, capture the government funding wave, roll up into a platform, and use the capital generated to invest in robotics — the next automation wave targeting blue-collar jobs.

What We Are Building — SkillForge

Core Product
White-Collar → Blue-Collar Transition Engine
Worker inputs resume or LinkedIn profile. SkillForge maps their existing white-collar
skills against O*NET occupational data for blue-collar trades. Returns:
· Which trades have highest skill overlap
· Exactly which skills transfer and how
· Remaining training gap in weeks/months
· Government funding available (LMDA, Canada Job Grant)
· AI tools that make them an enhanced worker faster

The "Enhanced Worker" Differentiator
Not a traditional apprentice — a tech-augmented one
A displaced project manager doesn't become a standard plumber.
They become a plumber who uses:
· AR apps for step-by-step procedures on the actual fixture
· AI diagnostics and building code lookup
· Automated job documentation and permit forms
· Their existing PM skills for job site coordination
Result: productive and safe in months, not years. Higher wage ceiling than a traditional apprentice because the AI is the senior brain in their pocket.

For Acquired Schools
SkillForge replaces their manual stack
Every school we acquire runs on paper and spreadsheets.
SkillForge becomes their SIS (Student Information System),
automates LMDA outcome reporting, manages enrollment,
tracks government funding eligibility per student, and
surfaces which programs to add based on local employer demand.
Margin improvement: 8–15pp within 18 months.

Current State
SkillForge MVP — needs refactor
Currently: generic career development platform (O*NET data,
resume parsing, skill assessments, partner APIs). React + Node.js +
PostgreSQL + Prisma. Well-architected, not yet purpose-built for
white-collar → blue-collar transition or Canadian workforce context.
Refactor goal: pivot from generic career platform to specific transition engine with Canadian government funding integration.

The bottleneck is not knowledge — AI compresses that. It is hands, judgment, and accountability. These mappings show where existing white-collar skills dramatically shorten the training path.

Why these businesses run on paper today
Enrollment
Paper applications, in-person registration, manual waitlists. No online intake.
Gov Reporting
LMDA outcomes tracked on spreadsheets. Hours spent per submission. Error-prone.
Student Tracking
Paper attendance, physical credentialing, no learning analytics.
Finance
Manual invoicing, paper AP/AR, no cash flow visibility. Basic QuickBooks at best.
